This film is one that has moved me more than quite possibly any other film I have ever watched. It is a surreal partnership between Jim Carrey and Kate Winslet to begin with, but one that is amazing to watch. Eternal Sunshine is a very original love / fantasy story directed by Michel Gondry surrounding the relationship of the two main characters, and how they only begin to discover what they feel for each other when they lose it.

For me, this is the one movie that dispels questions about Jim Carrey's (Character: Joel) acting ability. His character is warm, sensitive, and very likeable, and he never over-plays the part. Carrey is absolutely perfect when displaying how the mood or emotion is meant to be felt at the time. This is also a movie that dispels rumours of Kate Winslet (Character: Clementine) only being suitable for 'English Rose' performances. Clementine is brash, foul-mouthed, very out-going, yet also very sensitive and loving towards Joel.
